Terms and conditions

These terms apply to reservations made with Hotel Tiva Gardens and to your use of this website. By making a reservation or staying with us, you agree to them.

Reservations

A reservation is confirmed once we have sent written confirmation by email. Please check the dates, room type and guest names carefully and let us know straight away if anything needs correcting. The person making the reservation must be an adult and is responsible for every guest in the booking.

Rates and payment

Rates are quoted per room, per night, and include breakfast in the Orangery unless stated otherwise. A card is required to guarantee a reservation, and the balance is settled at check-out. Spa treatments, dining, bar charges and other extras are added to your room account.

Cancellations and changes

Reservations may be cancelled or changed free of charge up to seven days before arrival. Within seven days of arrival, or if you do not arrive, the first night is charged unless we are able to fill the room again. Different terms may apply to cottages, group bookings and events, and these will be shown on your confirmation.

Arrival and departure

Rooms are available from 15:00 on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 11:00 on the day of departure. Early arrival and late departure are offered when the house allows and may carry a charge.

On the estate

We ask all guests to respect the gardens, the house and one another. Please keep to marked paths in planted areas, do not pick plants outside the kitchen garden tour and keep dogs on a lead beyond the cottage gardens. Smoking is not permitted indoors or in the glasshouses.

The Garden Salon

Entry to the Garden Salon is for adults only, and photo identification is required every evening. House rules and table limits are displayed in the salon. We may refuse entry or ask a guest to leave at our discretion, and we support every guest who wishes to set limits or take a break from play.

Liability

We take great care of our guests and their belongings, but we cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to property left unattended. A safe is provided in every room. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have by law.
